Norgesglasset

Working with Norgesglasset, architectural experts Snøhetta have created a unique bar for us at Oslo Airport. The playful design draws inspiration from the Norgesglasset jar, a classic item familiar in many Norwegian homes and long used for pickling and storing food. Snøhetta re-used over 4,000 original jars to clad the ceiling and back wall of the bar. Selected jars are lit from within, doubling the illumination and creating enchanting variations of light and shade. As one continuous organic form, the glass structure of the curved back wall rises 4.8 metres in height from floor to ceiling and projects over the seating area. The traditional Norgesglasset jar is known for its distinctive red rubber gasket and grey aluminium lid, elements which feature in the design of the bar through its simple colour and material palette. You’ll find the same design on employee uniforms and on menu cards.

Haven

We’ve created Haven to meet the growing demand for healthier eating and drinking options at airports. With the slogan ‘eat good, look good, feel good’, the concept offers everything from healthy smoothie bowls and salads to soups and juices. It’s a place where everyone should be able to find their favourite dish.

We know that our customers want quality coffee, and we offer the complete range of barista-made coffee – using organic coffee and milk. Customers can also enjoy hot soup, fresh salad, organic wine, local beer, organic juices, coconut water and, of course, natural spring water. On the menu, you will find a large selection of vegetables, fruits and berries in the form of salads, juices and smoothies, wraps, vegetable salads, with freshly baked bread on the side. The ingredients are carefully selected - fresh and organic wherever possible. All our smoothie bowls are vegan.

Hunter Bar

Hunter Bar was conceived to evoke the atmosphere of a hunting lodge. It’s a place where guests can seek shelter and relax. Snøhetta is the architecture firm behind the holistic interior design and visual identity for Hunter Bar, which is located at Oslo airport’s international terminal.
The restaurant has a rustic, outdoors feel. Using roughly cut wooden elements, raw steel, and leather in natural tones, the design reflects nature and hunting traditions. Much like a landscape, the space allows people to gather casually and informally, with spaces where guests can sit in small groups or congregate with larger numbers of friends or family.

The menu is based on authentic Norwegian ingredients and designed to appeal to the hunter’s palate. Here you can enjoy local delicacies such as reindeer wraps, game burgers, or Norwegian game bratwurst sausages with homemade almond potato puree.
