SSP opening eight new units at Vilnius Airport

25/09/26

SSP, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, is strengthening its long-standing partnership with Vilnius Airport with the opening of eight new outlets as part of a wider terminal redevelopment programme.

SSP, the only international food and beverage operator at the airport, has introduced a number of new brands that have already proven popular at other airports, specifically localised for the passengers of Vilnius. The brand mix combines internationally familiar names, alongside bespoke concepts created by SSP either specifically for the airport, or as part of SSP’s international brand portfolio.

Sodai Le Grand Comptoir is a brasserie and bar concept offering a contemporary interpretation of authentic Lithuanian cuisine. With a menu featuring traditional local-style soups, comfort-foods, local beverages and traditional breakfasts, Sodai Le Grand Comptoir will offer travellers a genuine taste of Lithuania.

Also bringing travellers the opportunity to sample the cuisine of Lithuania, Vilnius Bar & Bistro Le Grand Comptoir offers an all-day dining experience inspired by Lithuanian flavours and hospitality, with a menu designed around freshness, convenience and broad appeal. The concept showcases local ingredients, Lithuanian-inspired dishes and regional beverages alongside selected international favourites, creating an accessible introduction to Lithuania's food culture. Located landside it is a convenient meeting place for airport visitors, employees and business partners throughout the day.

What makes both concepts particularly suited to the airport environment is their ability to combine efficiency, accessibility and quality while reflecting the destination. Together they provide passengers with both international choice and a clear sense of place.

Factory Bar & Kitchen appeals to passengers looking for a relaxed pre-flight experience, whether travelling alone, with friends or in groups. A dedicated sports bar and social dining destination, the concept has been developed around three key pillars; draft beer, great burgers and sports.  The menu focuses on popular sports bar favourites and alongside burgers there is fish & chips, sharing platters, wings, loaded fries, nachos and premium bar snacks designed to pair naturally with a pre-flight beer. The beer range includes a selection from Lithuanian brewery Švyturys, celebrating local brewing traditions.

Burger King®, one of the world’s most recognized quick service restaurant brands, has opened its newest restaurant at Vilnius Airport this week, offering travellers the brand's famous flame-grilled flavour - including the iconic Whopper®. The menu features flame-grilled burgers, crispy chicken, plant-based options, tasty sides, snacks and refreshing beverages, offering something for every traveller and occasion. Whether guests want a quick meal before boarding, a familiar taste during a layover, or a satisfying bite before their journey, the new Vilnius Airport restaurant delivers Burger King's signature quality, choice and convenience.

The new development also features a selection of SSP’s internationally recognised brands. Upper Crust caters for travellers seeking freshly made food that is easy to enjoy on the go. At Upper Crust, passengers can choose handcrafted baguettes assembled on-site, a broad range of bakery products, quality coffee and a wide range of cold beverages, providing a convenient solution for passengers throughout their journey.

Camden Food Co. is the go-to destination for fresh smoothies, snacks and feel-good food on the move.  The concept offers a range of salads, wraps, sandwiches and light meals for travellers looking for food that’s fresh, energising and convenient, without compromising on taste.

Ritazza serves high-quality barista coffee alongside a convenient all-day food and beverage offer designed for travellers on the move. As well as freshly prepared breakfast items, pastries and light snacks, the concept offers a wide selection of cold drinks, beers and other refreshments, making it a versatile stop at any time of day.

The eighth outlet, a Bill Bentley beer bar, will open in the non-Schengen area later this year. Bill Bentley offers travellers a comfortable and inviting place to unwind before departure. The brand’s central focus is an extensive selection of beers, wines and spirits, complemented by a small food menu featuring easy-to-enjoy bar favourites and light bites. Designed as a contemporary airport beer bar, Bill Bentley combines a warm atmosphere, quality drinks and attentive service, creating the perfect setting for passengers looking to relax, socialise or enjoy a quiet moment before their journey.

Across the Vilnius Airport portfolio, the concepts have been developed based on passenger insights, travel patterns and dwell-time analysis, ensuring that each concept is tailored to the needs of specific traveller segments. Particular attention is given to offering menus that are easy for international passengers to understand, can be served efficiently in an airport environment, and provide the right balance between convenience, quality and local relevance. The food offer is designed to cater for all dayparts, with strong breakfast propositions for early-morning departures, lighter options for health-conscious travellers, and more indulgent food and beverage experiences for passengers with longer dwell times.

SSP has worked with Vilnius Airport since May 2025. This latest venture will create approximately 60 jobs.

“As Vilnius Airport continues to grow, we are equally focused on developing the range and quality of services available to our passengers,” said  Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, Interim CEO of Lithuanian Airports. “Food and beverage is an important part of the overall airport experience, and these new openings significantly broaden the choice available across the terminal. Our partnership with SSP allows us to bring proven international concepts to Vilnius Airport while ensuring the offer is adapted to the needs and expectations of our passengers. The expanded offer reflects our ambition to provide passengers with greater choice, convenience and quality throughout their journey,”

Stian Lund, CEO of SSP Nordic & Baltics said: “This new venture, with its distinctly Baltic flair, adds much cachet to our business in the region. Our work with Vilnius Airport has developed steadily, and we have operated here very successfully. As the terminal continues to evolve, we’ve focused on ensuring the food and beverage offer is well aligned to the new environment and the needs of passengers using it. The new F&B mix reflects that approach, bringing together local influence with our experience of operating in international travel locations. Ultimately, our ambition is that dining at Vilnius Airport will become more than just a pre-flight necessity and instead a memorable part of the travel experience itself.”
