SSP Spain & Hermanos Torres join forces to celebrate culinary excellence at Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference and Awards 2025

SSP Spain is bringing the Michelin-starred Hermanos Torres to the opening cocktail of the FAB Awards 2025. The event will feature an exclusive show-cooking experience and a specially curated cocktail menu designed by the Hermanos Torres team will be served. Both will demonstrate the innovative use of local flavours and the creative excellence that has earned the brothers and their team international acclaim. 

Located in Barcelona Airport T1, Alas by Hermanos Torres, is a premium casual dining concept developed by SSP Spain in partnership with Catalan chefs Javier and Sergio Torres. Earlier this month, it was shortlisted as a finalist for the FAB Airport Food & Beverage Offer Best Representing Sense of Place. SSP first began its partnership with the Hermanos Torres in 2018, and it currently operates two units with the brothers at the airport.

The Hermanos Torres are proud ambassadors of Catalan cuisine, and throughout their journey to become Michelin-starred chefs, they have always strived to celebrate local flavours and the finest locally sourced ingredients – an ethos which extends to the menu at Alas. The menu is heavily inspired by the traditional Spanish and Catalan dishes they grew up watching their grandmother

prepare, which they have reimagined with a contemporary twist.  A highlight of the menu is Grandma Catalina's cannelloni by the Torres Brothers, which offers a new take on traditional Cannelloni, a beloved dish in Catalonia. The service, offer and environment at Alas all embody the Hermanos Torres’ signature combination of heritage with innovation. The regularly updated menu at Alas ensures that whether stopping by for a quick snack or indulging in a leisurely meal, travellers will find an authentic, contemporary expression of Spanish and Catalan cuisine, brought to life by two of the region’s most celebrated culinary minds.
