We want every one of our 26,000 employees to be a food travel expert. Our training and development programmes range from customer satisfaction and orientation through to our comprehensive succession planning and talent management process, focusing on the development of SSP’s managers.
As part of our drive to provide the best possible learning environment and expertise for our staff, SSP has developed a partnership with leading restaurant and hotel school Rosen College, part of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Rosen College has the world’s fastest growing hospitality program, with 2,200 undergraduate staff, 43 full time faculty members and four different degree programs.
More than 350 SSP managers worldwide will complete the college’s industry renowned Multi-Site Management Programme by 2010. As part of our commitment to investment in our people the programme will focus upon core business skills and improve the consistency of our operations, enabling us to attract and retain the very best talent to SSP. This world class faculty will teach a curriculum carefully customised to the SSP business.
"We are very pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to our multi-site managers. We believe we are the only company offering a bespoke programme of this depth and scale that is entirely focused on the food and travel sectors. It’s a great development opportunity for our people and crucial to providing a consistently high standard of quality and service worldwide’. Chris Rayner, Group HR Director, SSP |
