SSP News Release 5-September-2008

Takes SSP’s global presence to 31 countries

SSP, the leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, announces its entry into the booming Indian aviation market today with the launch of FLAVOURS at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

The unit is SSP’s first in India, bringing the company’s global presence to 31 counties in total. FLAVOURS is a convenience store brand with a modern twist and an emphasis on freshly produced products. The new unit is located in the airport’s Arrivals hall.

SSP has secured two contracts with Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL) which will see further food and beverage brands opening in the airport over the next few months.

Henrik Andersen, Managing Director, SSP Gulf and India said: “This is SSP’s first business win in India, and we’re delighted to be establishing a foot-hold in this strategically important country. This new win builds on the success we’ve already had in the region, and we’re very excited to be making such rapid progress in achieving our ambitious plans for growth across the Middle East and India.”

Flavours offers a wide range of food such as salads, smoothies, fruit cups, calzone, spring rolls, pizza, cheese sandwiches, buns, croissants, bread, coffee, milk, mineral water, juices and ice cream. The aim is to provide products that are ‘a cut above’ the rest, more healthy, and of high quality, tailored specifically to meet the needs of the travelling consumer.

“IGI Airport was looking for a convenience store for its passengers and from our portfolio of brands, we are delighted to offer passengers one of SSP's leading convenience stores,” added Mr. Andersen.
