
SSP UK opens Dexter’s Chargrill and Bar, Bristol International Airports first

Leading food and beverage operator SSP is opening Dexter’s Chargrill and Bar at Bristol International Airport, in partnership with Clapham House Group, on 11 July 2008.
Dexter’s Chargrill and Bar, the airport’s first table service restaurant, is part of a £7.5 million redevelopment of the airport.
Following changes to Bristol’s security facilities and in response to increased passenger dwell time spent airside, Dexter’s will meet the changing catering needs of customers with its table service offering. This follows the success of SSP UK’s seated restaurant at Newcastle Airport.
Located airside, Dexter’s is an American style family restaurant serving a quality, health-conscious ‘all day’ menu with an emphasis on ethically sourced products, including burgers and its signature Superfood Salad. Dexter’s prides itself on being child-friendly with a tailored Junior menu developed by Children’s food and nutritional expert and best-selling author, Annabel Karmel.

SSP UK signed a franchise agreement with Clapham House Group, the market leader in quality high street dining, to operate the Tootsies and Dexter’s brands in the UK and Ireland airports market in April 2008.
