Helsinki Airport is Finland’s primary international airport, serving over 13 million passengers a year. Many of these are transfer passengers between Europe and Asia. For over a decade, the airport has regularly been named by Skytrax, ASQ, Readers Digest, Airport World Magazine and others as one of the best in Europe.
SSP is the exclusive food and beverage operator airside at both terminals and the dominant operator landside. It operates 20 units serving local and international travellers from a diverse range of countries, including a large percentage from Sweden, Germany, UK, Japan and Russia. Brands featured include specially tailored local SSP concepts such as Wine & View, My City Helsinki, and Fly Inn.
In 2011, the airport’s Via Lounge was named best in the world by lounge access specialist company Priority Pass. A new lounge, called almost@home is set to open shortly. Designed to provide the comforts of home to the travelling consumer, almost@home will feature the latest technologies to make a visitor’s stay more pleasant, and will be decorated in a cosy relaxed style.
