Making its first appearance in London in 2007, Panopolis is now proving a big hit with customers across the world and is particularly well suited to high-profile airport locations. There are now outlets at Larnaca, Hong Kong, Zurich, Singapore and Abu Dhabi and in addition the brand is also now available in the US and Canada at Houston, New York’s JFK, Raleigh-Durham and Toronto. A specially created US menu includes Virginia ham on panni rye, Baja turkey served on Jalapeno cheddar bread, or chicken chipotle on an onion roll. A feature of the brand is that customers can choose from freshly prepared displays, rather than having to choose from pictures on a menu board and wait for their sandwich to be prepared as is more typical in the US market, and this has made it particularly popular with American customers.

SSP’s latest two new Panopolis units opened at the prestigious London City Airport in the summer of 2011.
