Yung Kee

Family owned restaurant Yung Kee began life as a humble ‘dai pai dong’ street stall in 1942, but today boasts a ten-story headquarters building in the heart of Hong Kong’s financial district. An established part of the city's history, Yung Kee is one of the few restaurants that has truly stood the test of time. In 1968, it was the only Chinese restaurant to make the list of Fortune Magazine’s Top Fifteen Restaurants in the World, and it achieved a Michelin star in 2008.

Yung Kee is famous for its respect of tradition – as evidenced by its original authentic recipes and traditional cooking techniques. Tourists are said to travel from all over the world to taste Yung Kee’s charcoal grilled roast goose and preserved century egg.

The menu showcases many of the most popular Cantonese dishes including roasted meats, marinated dishes, appetizers, soup, seafood specialties and mini crab roe. Its downtown signature dish of roasted goose is hands down the best seller in the airport. It also serves a number of dishes suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
