Prego delights in Sydney

SSP News Release 25-November-2009

On 22 October, Trattoria Prego started trading in the international terminal on Sydney airport.

Prego, which means “you are welcome” in Italian is a modern version of an Italian eaterie, where customers can either eat by the counter watching our chefs in the open kitchen, in the restaurant or simply take away food and drink. Says Andrew Charlton, GM of SSP Australia, “Take away now accounts for about 60% of sales. The counter service has proven to be very popular, especially amongst passengers travelling alone”. Prego sales are exceeding expectations, especially in the morning and lunch trade where hero dishes include pasta, salads and the home made tiramisu.
