Our training and development programs range from customer satisfaction and orientation through to our comprehensive succession planning and talent management process, focusing on the development of SSP’s employees. The following are a few highlights from our many programs:

Guest Service Excellence
Smiles are contagious and genuine service is invaluable, especially in an airport environment where stress is often the norm. These are just a few values taught in our Guest Service Excellence training course that our Food Travel Experts must complete in order to ensure we are delivering a positive, memorable experience.

Pathfinder Program
The Pathfinder Program is designed to give practical tools and techniques that can improve core management skills in key areas such as coaching, delegation and prioritizing. All SSP General Managers must complete Pathfinder and undertake a 90-day ‘Real Work Challenge’.

Bespoke Management Training

As part of our drive to provide the best possible learning environment and expertise for our staff, SSP has developed a partnership with leading restaurant and hotel school Rosen College, part of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Rosen College has the world’s fastest growing hospitality program, with 2,200 undergraduate staff, 43 full time faculty members and four different degree programs.

From 2008 to the end of 2013, more than 320 SSP managers worldwide completed the college’s industry renowned Multi-Site Management Programme, which was carefully tailored to the SSP business. The programme focussed on core business skills and improved the consistency of our operations, enabling us to attract and retain the very best talent to SSP.
